Caren Toomer serves as the current IRS ERM Director leading the day-to-day operation of the agency’s ERM program. Prior to accepting the ERM Director position, she served as a Senior Risk Advisor. She joined the Office of the Chief Risk Officer to lead the standup of the Cross-functional IRS Insider Threat Capability as the Insider Threat Technical Advisor and holds the Insider Threat Program Management Professional Certification from Carnegie Mellon University. Caren is a current advisory member of the OECD Forum on Tax Administration’s ERM Community of Interest.
