REI Systems and Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Advanced Governmental Studies are hosting the Government Analytics Breakfast (GAB) Forum at the Johns Hopkins Washington D.C. Center.

Join Tom Brandt, Chief Risk Officer of the Internal Revenue Service, and President-Elect of the Association for Federal Enterprise Risk Management (AFERM), for a discussion of some of the top risks facing government and a look at how analytics can be applied at each stage of ERM, including risk identification, evaluation, and assessment, to the determination and selection of risk responses, and risk monitoring and reporting. Tom will also discuss the use of Key Risk Indicators as well as the IRS’s Risk Acceptance Form & Tool (RAFT), which is used to help facilitate and document the consideration of risk in business decision-making in the context of the agency’s risk appetite. The RAFT was highlighted in GAO’s 2016 ERM Report of Good Practices in Managing Risk.
