The Association for Federal Enterprise Risk Management (AFERM) is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 ERM Awards for Government, celebrating outstanding achievements in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) across all levels of the public sector. This year, AFERM expanded its awards program to include state and local government entities, reflecting the growing impact and importance of ERM throughout the public sector.

AFERM offers RIMS-CRMP-FED Preparatory Courses. The next two-day, live, virtual, course is on Wednesday, Dec. 3, and Thursday, Dec. 4, from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM ET.
Participants who complete this program are eligible for the RIMS-CRMP and RIMS-CRMP-FED examinations [as part of the course fee] at no cost, provided the course participant sits for the examination within 90 days of completing this course.

Governing AI Agents: From Enterprise Risk to Strategic Asset: Effective AI agent governance requires clearly defined security parameters. One of the most significant challenges with managing AI agents in their lifecycle. Typically, AI agents change ownership a few times during its first few years. When AI agents are introduced into workflows without clear lines of accountability, gaps emerge, particularly when agents are orphaned. To mitigate this, organizations must answer critical questions about each agent’s operational boundaries, like where is the agent authorized to operate, and how are its permissions configured and enforced.
