Data Analytics and Risk Technology (DART) Community of Practice (CoP)

We are excited to announce the launch of The Data Analytics and Risk Technology (DART) Community of Practice (CoP), which offers a platform for ERM practitioners across government, private sector, and non-profit organizations to share insights, tackle challenges, and learn from each other’s experiences in maturing ERM programs through data-driven solutions, risk analytics, and innovative technologies.

The DART CoP aims to unite ERM practitioners from the public and private sectors, enabling them to exchange knowledge, share resources, and explore best practices for advancing government agency ERM programs. This includes using GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) technology, enhancing risk data governance and analytics, and adopting innovations such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies.

The DART CoP will serve as a collaborative network focused on enhancing ERM program maturity within government agencies.

Topics will cover a range of advanced concepts, such as:

• Emerging technology use and governance, including Robotic Process Automation (RPA), AI, and Generative AI
• Advanced data analytics for improved risk reporting
• Risk data governance strategies
• ERM GRC technology enablement
• Development, analysis, and reporting of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)

The DART CoP will host structured virtual and in-person meetups, providing public sector ERM practitioners an opportunity to increase engagement beyond AFERM’s annual summits and networking gatherings. Through platforms like the AFERM website, members will access reusable and adaptable tools, templates, accelerators, and open-source resources, supporting collaborative knowledge-sharing for agency ERM advancements.
