The Association for Federal Enterprise Risk Management (AFERM) recently announced the recipients of the 2025 ERM Awards for Government, celebrating outstanding achievements in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) across all levels of the public sector. This year’s winners are:

Notable Achievement Award (presented to a government entity that has accomplished a significant and noteworthy achievement in their ERM program)

• City of Norfolk, VA
• Port Authority of New York and New Jersey

Luminary Award (presented to a government entity that has achieved an advanced level of ERM maturity and demonstrates a sustained and broad range of accomplishment in the implementation and practice of ERM to organizational practices and processes)

• King County, Washington

During the webinar, we’ll learn about each recipient’s ERM journey, have an opportunity to discuss successful practices and lessons learned in the course of carrying out their ERM efforts, and reflect on the important role and value that can be gained through the practice of risk management in public sector organizations.
