AFERM is proud to host a luncheon, with a presentation on ERM by Chris Mihm.

Chris Mihm is the Managing Director for Strategic Issues at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). He leads GAO’s work on government-wide governance and transformation issues. Strategic Issues addresses such topics as performance management and interagency collaboration, human capital management, intergovernmental issues, federal agency budgeting and the Nation’s long-term fiscal outlook, regulatory policy, and federal tax policy and administration.

Chris is the elected Chair of the United Nations Independent Audit Advisory Committee, where he advises the United Nations General Assembly on the scope, results, and effectiveness of internal audit and other oversight functions; on management’s compliance with recommendations; and on risk management, internal control, operational, and accounting and disclosure issues.

He is a fellow and former Board Chair of the National Academy of Public Administration and an adjunct lecturer in public administration at the University of Maryland Graduate School of Public Policy.

The cost is $20 for AFERM members and $30 for non-members and will include Lunch. Lunch will include a House Salad as a starter, and a Roast Chicken entrée. A vegetarian option will be available upon request.
